Aleksandr Yu. Briukhanov is the author of above 270 scientific papers, with 65 papers being published in RSCI core journals and 30 papers – in the editions indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases, including Q1, Q2, and Q3 journals.  His bibliography also includes 10 monographs and methodological recommendations, 25 author's certificates and patents.

He is a member of the Dissertation Council at the Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM, and the Deputy Chairman of the Dissertation Council of Saint Petersburg State Agrarian University.

Aleksandr Yu. Briukhanov is the academic advisor of “Agroecology” research direction with the focus on addressing environmental challenges in agricultural production. The beneficial approaches in this respect are the energy and resource saving and eco-friendly machine-based farming technologies and the digital systems for monitoring, assessing and forecasting the environmental sustainability of agroecosystems.
